About Me
My journey started in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I grew up. I studied at Samford University in Birmingham, AL and received a BFA in Graphic Design. After college, I moved to Waco, TX and worked as a graphic designer at Antioch Waco for five years. In March 2022, I started working as a designer at Food&Wine magazine (where I still work today) and moved back to Birmingham, AL.
Graphic design has always been a passion of mine. I love that it's a much-needed form of art that reaches almost everyone, and has the power to shape the way a person thinks about or perceives a company. I have always enjoyed exploring different areas of design, finding different ways to lay out shapes, photos, and text in ways that are unique and visually pleasing. With creativity, there are never ending possibilities, and that's what keeps me passionate about what I do.
Although graphic design is a large part of my life, I like to step away from the computer to explore the world. Whether it's spending time with friends, a weekend getaway trip, or experiencing various European cultures, traveling is a source of inspiration for me, stirring my desires for wonder and for wander. When I'm not adventuring, you'll find me curled up on the couch, candles burning and coffee cup in hand, catching up on my favorite shows.
